Code of Ethics

 

This Code of Ethics is a guide to professional conduct of members of Internetworking Professionals of Canada. It sets the principles and practices to be adhered with respect to:

  • Internetworking profession
  • Associates, employer, clients, subordinates and/or employees
  • Governing body of INPOC
  • Himself/herself

 

Internetworking Professionals of Canada Members shall exercise at all times:

  • fidelity to the internetworking profession
  • fairness and loyalty to the member’s associates, employers, clients, subordinates and/or employees,
  • devotion to high ideals of personal honour and professional integrity,
  • knowledge of developments in the area of internetworking relevant to any services that are undertaken, and
  • competence in the performance of any professional internetworking services that are undertaken.

 

Internetworking Professionals of Canada Members shall act with fidelity to the internetworking profession in which he or she shall fulfill the terms of legally binding contracts, disclose any conflict of interests or limitations, serve in the interest of his or her employers and clients, and maintain the reputation and integrity of the internetworking profession in general.

 

Internetworking Professionals of Canada Members shall have a clear duty to the internetworking profession to act fairly and loyally to his or her associates, employers, clients, subordinates and/or employees in which he or she shall protect confidentiality when required, respect any intellectual property rights, and exercise with strict impartiality to promote fairness in decision making.

 

Internetworking Professionals of Canada Members shall uphold personal honor and professional integrity by complying with federal and provincial laws and by-laws, forbidding unfair competition by knowingly omit, admit, falsify, or hyperbolize information, refrain from claiming competence he or she does not possess, and conduct all professional work with honesty and diligence.

 

Internetworking Professionals of Canada Members shall pursue in the knowledge and development in the area of internetworking such that he or she shall remain current to internetworking technologies, contribute to the exchange of such technologies and participate in education and/or promotions of such technologies.

 

Internetworking Professionals of Canada Members shall be technically competent in the professional services of the internetworking field he or she has undertaken. He or she shall provide accurate information, exercise due diligence and adhere to best practice of the service he or she offers.

 

Disciplinary Action

The governing body of INPOC comprised of the Board of Directors, on behalf of the Internetworking Professionals of Canada has the right to revoke any membership for noncompliance of the code of ethics stated above.
